ETO proportional solenoids in variable valve timing

Variable valve timing is part of the variable valve train and serves to increase the efficiency of a combustion engine. This enables us to achieve a higher performance and torque whilst at the same time reducing CO2.

Proportional solenoids by the ETO GRUPPE ensure optimum control and regulation of a hydraulic cam phaser, also known as a variator.

The proportional solenoid was developed especially for regulating the central valve of a hydraulic cam phaser.

The compact design of the ETO proportional solenoid enables it to be used in engines with minimal installation space. It is also characterised by low hysteresis. The solenoid has been designed in such a way that it can be adapted to any customer requirement. This helps it achieve optimum performance in combination with the cam phaser.
