On May 18, 2024, ETO GRUPPE celebrated another of its milestones with a festive ceremony: the opening of a second Chinese production site in the megacity of LuAn. The opening celebrations were steeped in pride and euphoria and were attended by ETO CEO, Dr. Michael Schwabe, the Managing Director of the Kunshan site, Roland Jing, and other colleagues from the two Chinese locations. They were joined in their celebrations by high-ranking government representatives, customers and suppliers.
The second ETO plant in China was built due the limited capacity of the Kunshan ETO site. The new premises in LuAn feature an impressive site area of more than 32,500 m² and a floor space of approximately 20,000 m², of which currently a mere 13,000 m² are being used for production. Thus LuAn offers sufficient space for future growth and puts ETO in a position to serve its customers in the Asian markets even faster, more flexibly and more comprehensively.
Last but not least, the plant sets technical and ecological standards. The buildings feature a state-of-the-art sprinkler system and excellent building insulation. The technical control of the site is performed efficiently by a centralized building management system. Air conditioning and heating of the group of buildings is provided by a geothermal system which is supplied from 130 m deep boreholes. The next logical step towards even more sustainability is already firmly planned: a photovoltaic system with an output of about 820 kW/p on the roofs of the production halls.
